which visa do we need

Question

We have just booked a holiday to shanghai for 7 nights, can someone help with this as its our first visit to a place that needs one. I have a british passport and my husbands passport is irish. can anyone help please ?

You two should apply for a L type for each of you. It requires passport with a validity of six months and two blank pages at least, filled application forms (2013 printed version), recent photo as large as the one on your passport. Besides, round-trip air tickets and hotel reservation in mainland China are required if you don't have the invitation letter.
