About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

can I apply visa from the chinese embassy in malaysia?

I am an indian citizen who comes to malaysia on a tourist type and want to visit PRC.

You must provide the original and copy of your valid certificates of residence, employment or student status, or other legal status provided by the relevant authorities of Malaysia. I think you'd better to confirm it with the CVASC branch in Malaysia.
