About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

14 days extended Visa required urgently

I am Australian living now in Guangzhou working as an exchange teacher and consultancy with Australia. Recently, in Guangzhou, I got my one year F type (already expired on 11th December 2013) extended for 1 month i.e. until 10th January 2014. The office in Guangzhou said that they can't extend it any more.

Because of my flight booking to Melbourne, Australia on 2014/01/24, I just need another 14 days or so to stay in Guangzhou (i.e. until 24th January, 2014). I would appreciate it if you could tell me what is the best way that I can get mine extended for 14 days (until 24th January 2014) or more? Your early reply would be appreciated. Thank you

If the officer told you that it couldn't be extended. Then you have no way to extend it because they have the final say. Here is a method. You may stay in HK for 14 days or try to apply for a L type there. If you apply for the L type successfully, then you can enter Guangzhou again.

Can I get L type in Macao instead of HK? Because it is closer to Guangzhou, cheaper hotels and I have never been there. Thanks again

I am not sure if you can get it in Macau. HK an Macau has the same rule that the applicants who apply in HK and Macau must have resident status. However, some nationals still can get it even they don't have resident status. By the way, there is a local travel agency in HK that deals with visa applications. It has branches in Macau too.

I think you should contact the office of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC in Macau. If they sa "No", then you may ask the travel agency to help you.
