About:China Customs Declaration

If something is taxable or requires some kind of fee, what are the rates?

My friends would like me to bring some perfume and a computer for them. Also I might bring some silver over 2 ounces.

As I know, as long as you put the perfume in your checkin luggage, it will be easy to go through the customs. If you need to pay tax, the tax rate is 50%.

For computer, the tax rate is 20%. For silver, if it is within 50g (2 ounces), they are free of tax and also don't require customs declaration.
