Chinese visa application in france if im a South African citizen

Hi
I am a South African citizen on business travels for a duration of 3 months in France but during this period i need to travel to China also for work affairs, currently i have a 1 year work Z but it will expire prior to my needed travel. Am i able to apply for a Chinese short term visa in France so i am able to travel there directly during my stay in France ?

I am afraid not because the embassy/consulate require valid certificates for your stay there, such as residence permit or employment permit. Temporary visitors need to apply in their home country.
