About:Gubeikou Great Wall

Is it possible travel from Beijing to Gubeikou, hike the wall, and return to Beijing in one day?

Approximately how long are the travel times?

Although it is genrally suggested to spend two days for this trip, but it is possible to do that in a day. I remember there is a tourism train, No. L677, leaving Beijing North at 07：36 to arrive at 11：03, taking around 3.5h. Then you are suggested to take a taxi or rent a car to the destination for visiting. The return train, No. L678, leaves at 15：03 to get to Beijing at 18：34.
