how can i obtain a family reunion resident permit for up to 5 years.

Question

If my wife (Overseas Chinese) entered Guangdong Province (Dongguan City) with a Family Reunion Q1 visa to visiting me (I am Hong Kong permanently resident with an China entry-exit pass and living in China). How can I apply for her temporary resident permit base on her Q1 condition? Do I need to travel to the Guangdong Province,  entry-exit security bureau  admin in Guangzhou to submit application or can do it in my local area police station in Zhangmutou Town?

Hi, if your wife enters with Q1, she should apply for residence permit within 30 days after entry from your local public security authorities above the county level, so in your case, it is Dongguan PSB. The duration of residence permit is decided by the officers actually.
