I am afraid not, because Chinese embassies everywhere require round-way ticket and hotel reservation for tourist L application. You are advised to contact the embassy directly if they accept proof of funds only.

Is a ticket to hong kong concider round wy as well? or I have to get a flight ticket completly out of china?

A ticket to Hong Kong is ok for application because leaving for HK counts an exit on your China visa.
