About:China Work Visa

Applying for z-visa

How do I confirm which country I'll be applying for a z from? Is it simply a case of writing a letter with my address etc on it?

Any help appreciated. Thanks

No, you can only apply in your home country or the country where you work or reside in.

Sorry, what i meant was I'm currently in the Uk. The school I'm going to work in in China has asked me to confirm which country I'll be applying for the visa from? And I wondered how do I do this?
Thanks :)

You can just provide your address because they need to release an invitation letter addressed to the corresponding embassy or consulate. You can also check the consular district of the embassy and consulate first if necessary.
