About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

2 Children under 18 and the 72 hour free transit

Hi, when we initially applied for a visa at the chinese embassy, they insisted I needed my children's original birth certificates and their fathers (from whom I am divorced) original passport before they would grant one. Since then we have discovered the 72 hour free transit which we are applicable to use.

However my fear is that we will not be granted it for the children if we do not have the fathers passport when we arrive. Can anyone confirm what the situation is regarding this? Many thanks in advance.

Mel,

I am afraid that you should follow what the embassy says. They know more about the regulations and requirements. If you are stopped when you arrive, your trip will be ruined, perhaps.
