Question

Hi, we are a family of 4 adults.  Will arrive Hong Kong from Shenzhen Lok Ma Chau and planning a 3 day tour to disney land, repulse bay, victoria peak and some shopping... Will stay in USA hostel at Tsim Sha Tsui.  Kindly advice the best way to reach hotel and travel around the town.

As for your case, an Octopus Card is more recommended. It can widely used in HK on bus, MTR, ferry and Airport Express and you can also get some discounts. From Lok Ma Chau to your hotel, it is suggested to take East Rail line to Hung Hom Railway Station, where transfer to West Rail line to East Tsim Sha Tsui and walk to Tsim Sha Tsui and then your hostel. To travel around the town, you should make full use of the MTR and bus. Of course, to the peak, peak tram is more convenient. May help!
