Personally, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven and the Great Wall (Badaling or Mutianyu section) cannot be missed. For shopping, Wangfujing Pedestrian will operate then.

Surely it is possible to visit Xian. May I know what your worry is? Anyway, the Terracotta Warriors, City Wall and Shaanxi History Museum are most popular attractions in Xian.

Thanks for your reply. I am worried about winter and snow fall. As far as I know there will be snow fall during January 2014. So if there are snowing will I be able to enjoy the beauty of all the tourist place? And also if heavy snow is there will the public transport system operate. what is the best means to visit xian from BJ? can I complete visiting xian by one day? looking for your valuable advise?

It is no need to worry about the snow.
The snow will affect the Great Wall a little, but does not affect other places. The Forbidden City covered with snow is much more beautiful.
It will snow heavily in winter in BJ, so the public transportation will be in operation and you do not need to worry about it.
From BJ, the best method is to take the overnight train to Xian and it is suggested to use at least about two days in Xian. I think the Terra Cotta Army takes a long time for visiting.
