About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Only short stay in the third country

Hello,

if I would be flying from one country to another through Shanghai with around 48hrs stopover on one ticket and after few hours on the airport in the third country I would be coming back to the original location on seperate ticket with some cheap airlines, would it be still ok for the permit?

Yes, it is ok to use this free transit as long as you have ticket leaving within 72 hours from Shanghai airport.
