Short-stay visa

I'll be leaving China soon, but want to buy a short time one to extend my stay. I also want to stay in a different city than where my current one is for. I don't need the 30-day tourist type but the 72-hour free pass won't work for me either. Has anyone heard of any type that is good for maybe a week, and doesn't cost as much as a normal tourist one?

Hi, you can go anywhere except Tibet, HK and Macau in mainland China with your L type one. It doesn't confine you to stay at one city. By the way, there is no short term type as you said.
