About:China Customs Declaration

Is there any minimum currency requirement like USD or RMB have with the traveller to enter CHINA.

If some one wants to travell China then is there any requirement, that the person should have with him a minimumm USD or RMB to enter china.

I just got home this morning from China and at no time was I asked if I had any minimum amount of money. There is a maximum amount that I believe is $5000. They will ask you on the declaration forms about this. I do not believe there is a minimum.
