About:Chinese Consulate in San Francisco

My US passport is expiring in May 2014, I will be visiting Beijing in January, do I need new one?

I will be meeting my sister in Beijing, she is from the Philippines, we will be sightseeing and will go to Shenzhen. From Beijing, I will be going to the Philiipines for a week then back to US in February. My US passport expires in May 2014, do I need to apply for a new passport? Please advise. Thank you.

Hi, it is ok, if you plan to visit Beijing in January, you can apply for Chinese visa now when your passport have more than 6 months validity.
