tourist l application in uk

Hi, i am kazakh student in UK, i want to travel in coming December for China, do i need invitation letter to go as the tourist? Do i need to show bank statement, because when i called to Chinese embassy in Manchester, they told me that, if i do not have  3 month bank statement, i could be easily rejected.

Yes, that is true. If you do not have invitation letter from a travel agency, you should provide rund-trip flight ticket and hotel bookings, and a bank statement as proof to cover your stay there.

It is me Akyl again, thank you for your answer! But still there is the problem, I opened bank account in uk 2 montages ago only, if I have every required document, but bank statement is less than 3 month old, can I get visa?
