l visa extension beijing

Question

Hi, myself and my girlfriend want to extend our L by 30 days in Beijing. Firstly does the extension cancel our current one or will it add on top of the 60 days we already have? Secondly we have read a lot of places that you need proof of funds, we have read that this needs to be in a Chinese back account, although it says nowhere in the office about this. Is this true? Finally we do not have an outward flight booked yet as we do not know when our where we will go, we can get an invitation letter from a friend in Beijing but is there anything else we need to know? It will add on top of the 60 days so you do not need to leave. But that is true you need to provie bank account with at least RMB 21,000 for another 30 days. Valid Temporary Accommodation Registration Form issued by a local police station or a hotel in Beijing is required. If you are not received by a travel agency, then you should submit the host/hostess’s Beijing Household Register or Resident Identification Card and a letter in Chinese addressed to the Division of Exit-Entry Administration of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau. Air ticket is not required then if you provide this letter.
