is it travel chequesud dollar cash ?

I'm expecting to go to China by January and I wonder how much cash/ dollars I should show at the Chinese embassy as a Sri Lankan, I'm expecting to go around Wuxi area mostly for 3 to 6 weeks. I have been offered accommodation already there  by a chinese friend.please be kind enough to send accurate information, Thanks a lot.Antony

Then, you have to provide an invitation letter from your friend as well as a copy of his ID card. For financial support, it should be equal to USD100/day.
