How can he get a new passport?

My friend's passport will expire in 3months but visa will expire after 1year. He is in PRC now. He is Indian and has an Indian passport. Can he get a new passport in PRC or will he have to come back to India?

Hi, your friend should visit Indian Embassy in PRC to apply for a new passport.
