About:Hong Kong MTR Tickets & Fares

Is tsim sha tsui central of Hong Kong city?

Hi there,
I m travelling to Hong Kong for the first time n I m planning to book my accommodation at Tsim Sha Tsui, is it the city centre of Hong Kong? I m also planning to go to macau for a day trip, is it convenient to go from Tsim Sha Tsui?

It is business center of Kowloon district with many shopping malls and convenient transportation. So staying there is a pretty good choice.
It is convenient to go from this area to reach Macau.
