About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

For US newborn with Chinese descent going to live in China

Dear Consular office,

I am a Chinese citizen and hold a Chinese passport and my husband holds a HK SAR passport as well as an Australian passport. We both do not have a green card and PR status in USA.

We have a US newborn baby boy of 2 months and would like to take him back for good.

Questions-

(1) In order for the baby to enter and stay in China, does he require a TRAVEL DOCUMENT or VISA?

(2) The baby was born in Denver Colorado, does this mean we need to come to Chicago for application?

(3) Where can we get the application forms?

Much appreciated,

Cordially,

AMY
Denver, USA

You need to apply for him a Chinese travel document. You should bring your baby to Chinese consulate in Chicago for application. The form can be downloaded from the website of the consulate (in Chinese version).
