Chinese visa for visiting family for 2 days

Hello, I am a Canadian citizen residing in the US. I will be visiting family for 2 days in China in early november. I will be flying from LA to Hk, then from HK to China for two days, then from China back to HK. I need a single entry, and I'm not sure if this situation applies to the Q or the L type because I'm visiting family (who are Chinese citizens) but I won't be applying for a Temp Residency Permit because I will be leaving in two days and do not need re-entry. Which type should I get for this situation?
Thank you!
