About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Filipino Working in Shanghai Inquiring Chinese Visa for my Parents and Wife

I would like to ask if what is the best type I need to apply for my Mother, Father and Wife to visit me here in China. I am holding a residence permit as I am working here in Shanghai. I read on the news that they have this new type in which is applicable for immediate relatives of a person working here. This type of Visa is "S". What are the requirements? Is it more easy to get this compare to the ordinary tourist L.

Yes, you need to send them an invitation letter, as well as copies of your passport and residence permit. They can apply for S type with those documents, make sure prepare priginal and photocopy of certification (marriage certificate, birth certificate) for their application. L is for tourist only, so they can only apply for S type now.
