i am indian.can my ticket be reserved by my friend in china if he can mention my passport details

yes.
your friend can reserve the ticket only with your passport number through online booking, but if you want he/ she to pick up the ticket for you, you should provide the copy of your passport. or you can collect the ticket by yourself when you arrive in China.
