Extension of Stay in PRC on F type (business).

I an in PRC on a business trip with a multiple entry F business type permitted to stay for 30 days after entry. I have not completed my work and have to extend my stay. How can I get an extension for staying another 30 days ( or as many days as permissible for extension ). I have another 3 months remaining on the validity aspect.

If you work in PRC, you should apply for a Z type one instead of M (previously called F business type). It's illegal to work with F type one. Considering of the new regulations, you might be sent back to India if the Chinese authorities learn about it. Just remind you!

Anyway, you have to visit the local entry and exit department in local PSB to extend it. I am not sure if they will extend your F.

Dear Chandrakumar,
I am also here in PRC on business on F. After every 30 days (expiration of each entry valid for 30 days), I go to HongKong & come back to PRC. Which is legal & only way to start again for 30 days until the end of validity. Foreigners here in Shenzhen do this all the time every month to extend the validity. As per immigration, one exits china, enters HongKong on a 14 day on-arrival permit (14 days available for Indian nationals), exits Hongkong then enters mainland again. It is not necessary that one has to stay in HK for the above mentioned time, one may come back immediately. One could stay an additional month for a Multiple entry for example 7 months for a 6 month M entry with 30 days each & 13 months for a 1 year with M entries.
This all depends on where you are located in China Mainland.
