About:Guangzhou Travel Guide

I need to go to Shantou, departing from Guangzhou on the 27th. I would like to know what are the best options

if is possible that I go and come back in the same day (for example leaving GZ around 4:30am and arriving in GZ around midnight).
Driving, Trains, Flying, Boat? What are the avaiable options?

Theoretically, it is doable. You can take the earliest bus at GZ City Bus Station (near GZ Train Station) at 07:00 to get to Shantou within 5-5.5h. After your visiting or other business, you'd better go to Shantou Central Bus Station to catch the last bus back, leaving around 17:40.

To make sure the bus schedule for back journey, it is suggested to consult the staff upon your arrival at Shantou.
