how can i get from taiyuan to see mt. wutai?

I'm visiting my girlfriend in Taiyuan. She is a student of Mandarin in Shanxi University. We are from Cuba and want to visit those peaks this next weekend (Oct. 11-13). Can someone tell us how to get there and recomend a place to stay? Thanks!

You can go to Taiyuan East Bus Station to take a direct bus to the Mt. scenic area within around 3h.

There are many hostels or hotels in the scenic area. I lived in a hotel named Longhua Hotel, with the accommodation fare of CNY130-200. Just for your reference!

I remember the bus fare is CNY66 per personYou don't need to reserve the hotel. Just go there to check in directly. Don't worry!Longhua Hotel (龙华宾馆) was a great one with good location in the scenic area. But it seems the price climbs a lot since my last travel in 2009. You may confirm that!Hope this is not too late for you.
