Chinese Tourist Visa - Surrendering ARC

I am working in South Korea and have just renewed my contract and have had my ARC extended for a further 12 months. I am however planning to give notice to terminate my contract in December 2013. Therefore at the time of applying for my China Tourist L I will have an ARC card with more than 6 months left on it however when I go to leave South Korea I will probably have to surrender my ARC to the South Korean Immigration Services. I will be staying in China for 5 days and will have an onward flight home (to NZ) booked before entering China. In these circumstances can I still apply for a Chinese Tourist L and then enter China without actually having my South Korean ARC Card?

Hi, it is ok. ARC valid for more than 6 month is only required for Chinese visa application. Once you get it from the embassy, ARC is no longer required for entry into PRC.
