About:China Transit Visa

Do I need a visa for less than 24 hour travel?

I live in Hong Kong but would like to take a train to Guangzhou to fly out form there. I would not be visiting anything just traveling straight to the airport. I have an Italian passport and will be flying to Hanoi, Vietnam.

Hi Kevin, you'd better contact a local travel agency for confirmation of this information. I am thinking this 24 hour visa free policy is for transit only by international flight/train/ship. As you will travel from HK to Guangzhou by train and fly out by plane, it is not a directly transit actually.
