It will still be a little cold in Beijing then, with the average temperature of 8-10C. During the mid March, the heating may be turned off in the city, so you still need to take along one or two thermal clothes to keep warm.
In Shanghai, it started to get warm. During your stay, the average temperature shall be around 12C. Sweater and light coat are suggested. Oh, the windy days will happen then by the way.
