permanent residence permit

Question

Hi, I am a Bangladeshi passport holder residing in China since 1991. I came over here with govt. scholarship and completed my graduation and masters here. After completing my masters  - I went back to Bangladesh and came again with a job as Chief representative of a Representative office of foreign Enterprise. So, it has been already 22 years I am leaving in China. I have owned an apartment in Suzhou, Jiangsu. I have to renew my residence permit every year. Is it possible for me to get a permanent residence here in China. If yes then how. Pls let me know.

You may try to apply for the permanent resident permit for employment. The requirements and application process is already listed on this page. I think you should read them carefully. However, I have to tell you that it's a long and very difficult process. Even you meet all the requirements and prepare all the required documents, you might still fail to get it.
