Business visa for non-Irish passport holders

I am Spanish and resident in Ireland for more than 8 years, today with all the documents I tried to apply for a multi-entry business F for 6 months and they told me that they only provide this for Irish passport holders, how can it be possible? Do I have to go to Spain to apply for it? Thanks.

Hi, I think what they mean is that you can not get a multiple entry F, but it is ok to get a single, or double entry F instead as a resident in Ireland. BTW, multiple entry is only issued to those who have been issued Chinese F visas before. If you apply for the first time, you should start with a sinlge or a double entry.

Hi, no I was in China few times before and they were able to see that in their system. I had the letter of invitation requesting the business type and they said clearly. We only issue multiple entries for people with Irish national passport. At the end I had to go with a double entry one. They also said that I can apply in HK when I am in Shanghai once I am there already. Not very useful but that was their clear message to me. No multiple entry for someone that has a non-Irish national passport. I can go to Spain or to Hong Kong.
