About:China Transit Visa

Please inform me if transit VISA for china required.

I am an Indian Passport holder. I have a US B1/B2 type valid upto 2021. I plan to visit United States. Details of my journey to United States are as under.
Kolkata to San Francisco:
Kolkata (CCU) Kunming (KMG) 21 Oct 13, 00:30 Mon, 21 Oct 13, 05:05
Connection time: 2:25 hrs
Kunming (KMG) Shanghai (PVG) Mon, 21 Oct 13, 07:30 Mon, 21 Oct 13, 10:45
Connection time: 2:15
Shanghai (PVG) San Francisco (SFO) Mon, 21 Oct 13, 13:00 Mon, 21 Oct 13, 09:30

Hi, visa is not required becuase your transit in PRC is less than 24 hours, but make sure apply for a stay permit after arrival at Kunming airport.

Just go to the airport immigration inspection office with your passport and flight tickets. The officers will issue a 24 hour permit which allows you to leave the airport.
