About:Empress Wu Zetian

What was life like for peasants during the reign of Wu Zetian?

I understand that she improved women's rights and lowered taxes for the peasants but did she do anything else important that would have greatly effected them?

He carried out measures to help with the productivity of peasants' farms, such as writing an agricultural relative book and improving the irrigation technology. Due to these, farmers got richer and more people were willing to have farms. Accordingly, the population then got larger.
