What were Empress Wu Zetian's contributions to the Tang dynasty

I want to know what she did to the dynasty, good and bad and how the Chinese scholar and citizens react to them

She really made some good policy to Tang Dynasty. She did well in govern the country and found many good officers. She set up the Chinese imperial examinations which was very useful to choose the suitable and excellent scholars for government. The country was steady and everything developed pretty good.
On the other hand, her cruel characterisitcs and bad daily behaviors were bad criticized by people in the history.
