what do i need to travel as tourist to PRC?

i just want to travel and see the wonders of PRC.i dont have bank certificate of deposit. i only have our company certification detailing my salary and lenght of employment. my chinese employer from HK will give me invitation because he wants me to go with him on a trip to PRC. is it possible for me to get tourist visa? how much it cost? thank you.
