How to do if I should spend more than 6 month for the water problem?

I should pass an internship in china, and I don't know what to do exactly with the topic of water, because I'll will take an appartement and a hotel, and I think buying bottled water will be very expensive, especially for a student like me, Do you know some others alternatives ? thanks in advance :)
