About:China Visa on Arrival

US citizen already in Asia, may need to go to China for business, can he get a Visa?

If so, where? He will be in Bangkok, traveling to Siem Reap, Phuket, then Toyko? How long does it take.

The fact is that it is difficult to get one while traveling in a third country other than USA. The new regulations require residence permit for applications in a third country. So, it is a problem. But as far as I know, it is still possible to get one in Japan showing your Japan visa and Entry Record.
