if you alone  the best way to go in by bus from orkashtam to kashgar , ticket cost around 450 rmb yuan. if you need hire car that is much faster and safe.

Hi , i am from KSG. These is a Bus from Osh to KSG , one of my friend has traveled ancient silk road from Beijing to Istanbul , he stayed few days in KSG, went to Osh from Kashgar . actually the best time travel around KSG is on summer and September , October... sometimes there is a sand storm in April or May ....hope weather will be nice when you are in here....
