About:China Transit Visa

Multiple stops in China en route to Laos

Hi, I am an American Citizen traveling through multiple airports in China to get to Laos. I fly through Shanghai Pudong Intl Airport (PVG) (5hr layover)-->Kunming Wujiaba Intl Airport (KMG)(8hr layover)-->Vientiane, Laos.

Will I need a transit visa at all?

Please advise.

Hi, you don't need to apply for it because the total stay is less than 24 hours. But make sure apply for a stay permit after arrival at Pudong airport for the mutiple stops.
