Cant find way to get 2entries visa to China

Hello! I have problem that my husband cant get 2 entries.We are from Ukraine,my husband 36yo he has never visited China but in trip he has to be in HK for 2days than be back GZ.He will come also in GZ.The embassy said that he didnt have any vises before he cant have now 2 entries one.Question is:can he comes with 1entry than to HK and back way in custom get one more or make it in advanced? He will have flight back from GZ.

P.S. I should go to this trip(Im his wife)but I got illness which I cant go and this very extramly decision thats why our trips little in trouble!Waiting helpful information!
