Hi i'm Croatian citizen anda I would like to get express one if possible, because i'm not from Zagreb where the embassy is and i'm working in other city, so i want to know what's the latest day for giving application form.2. Another thing, is it alright if i book the flight ticket on my own, not through Chinese travel agency?3. Do i need special travel and health insurance papers when applying for it?Thank you very much.

It takes three days to deal with your application if you use express service, and one day for rush service. If you use rush service, you should submit your application before 11:30. Then I think you can calculate when to give your application form and other required documents to the embassy. Yes, you can book the air tickets and hotel on your own. Some nationals are required to provide travel insurance when they apply. It is usually 100 USD per day. I am not sure if you are required to povide it. Better contact the embassy to confirm this.
