Can I go out side airport and come back before time?

i hold thai passport but have us green card, we buy ticket from los angeles to thailand but stop at Guangzhou for 14 hour.

You need to apply for the stay permit if you plan to leave the airport. It can be obtained when you arrive at the airport.
