New regulations - must return to home country to renew?

I've been working in GZ for 5 years and have heard that the new regulations require work visas/residence permits to be renewed from your home country. Is this true? Thanks

I think so, but the good news is that the work related residence permit can be issued with max validity of 5 years. You can visit your local PSB for the latest information because the new regulations will come into effect tomorrow.
