HI we arriving at SH Pudong airport at 1am and staying at Grand mercure 330 Meiyuan Road Zhabei District, would Taxi be best transport that time of the night, and approx cost at that time of night, thanks

Yes, at midnight, taking a taxi to your hotel directly is the best method and the taxi fare is around 150 to 200RMB.
Or you can take the airport shuttle bus night line to reach Middle Zhejiang Rd (Yan'an Rd/People's Square) and then change to take a taxi to reach your hotel. The taxi is much cheaper.
