I have very little room left in my passport, how many pages is required? We have an airline change in flight that requires  a 36 hour layover in Kunming, is there any other option besides a regular type one?

If you just transit in Kunming, you can apply for a G type one. If you are really in a hurry, you can choose the rush service. If you submit your application before 11:30, you usually can get it on the same day you submit it.
