Beijing September - October 2013

We will be flying into Beijing from 26th September (arrive at night time) and will fly out early on the morning of 2nd October. We know it will be a busy time but we are limited to when we can visit Beijing. We definitely want to take a tour to the Great Wall and plan to go on Friday 27th September. Will it be busy on this day as well or will it only start to get busy from October 1st. We are staying not far from The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square so plan to walk there. We can not change our plans so any suggestions that might help us would be appreciated.

Hi, Kerrie.
Please do not worry about it. The National Holiday begin from October 1, so it will begin to be busy on October 1.
On September 27, people are still on work, so it will not be crowded on the Great Wall.
Hope you can enjoy yourself in Beijing.

Thank you Luo ........ I am feeling much better now about our visit to the Great Wall. We will try to visit most other places on our 'list' before the 1st Oct. Will it be busy on Monday 30th as well or will people still be working that day? Thanks again!
