About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

17-hour stopover in Guangzhou

I understand the 72-hour visa has been introduced to Guangzhou since Aug. 1. We are flying Munich-Amsterdam-Auckland with a 17-hour stopover in Guangzhou. Where do we need to apply for this transit G? Do we need to register with the police if we only go into the city and back, without staying at a hotel?

Hi, it is not necessary to apply for transit G if you are in transit for 17 hours only. Also, you are not required to register with the police for one day visit without overnight stay in the city.
