Hiking Jinshanling, do you guys know if you're allowed to bring hiking poles?

I thought I heard the government is afraid the poles might damage the structure of the wall...

As well, has anyone done Machu Picchu and Jingshanling? How do they compare in terms of difficulty?

As certain sections of it are a little dangerous, the hiking poles are needed. My friend, Cindy, just came back from there. It is allowed indeed.

Yes, hiking poles are allowed. We were there today and they even sell them there.
